A brief word on the current situation regarding Coronavirus (Covid-19) and the operation of our building.

From Monday 6 July Mycenae House will be re-opening to the public for a limited range of permitted services, and we are working towards a full reopening with a lively programme from September.

From Monday 6 July 2020 Mycenae House will re-open at the times below:

Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4 pm

Saturday 8.30am to 12.30pm

No evenings (unless by prior arrangement)

Café Opening Times

Monday to Saturday 10 - 4pm (times may vary subject to weather)

Office Hours

Mon (9.30am -12.30pm), Thurs + Fri (9.30-12.30 Anna - bookings)

Our Cafe Bar is operating a takeaway service with access via Mycenae Gardens, providing a range of soft drinks, tea & coffee, alcoholic beverages, snacks and of course ice cream! There will be limited access to the house (Ground floor and First floor only), including access to toilets for customers only. Social distancing regulations will apply and there will be plenty of signage around the building to make this clear.

Bo Peeps Pre-School are open for a limited number of 2-4 year olds on weekday mornings and the children are having a wonderful time.

Anna is now available in the office at Mycenae House on Thursday and Fridays 9.30am-12.30pm so do call or arrange to pop in within those times for a chat or with any questions you have regarding bookings.

We've been so impressed by the speed at which some of our amazing regular classes that usually take place Mycenae House have got themselves set-up and running sessions online! The Renaissance Workshop

Tune in to a Live Streamed Youtube session with The Renaissance Workshop and follow a life drawing session with guidance from Jon. The Renaissance Workshop is an Arts and Humanities initiative founded by Jon Long in 2017 to promote interaction with traditional Western art and culture.


The Singing Hour

Communal singing, sharing and laughter guaranteed, The Singing Hour jumpstarts your day each weekday at 10am. Charity speakers, theatre producers, and drama school lecturers form a team that will bring a different flavour to each day. Professional singers from all over the globe stop by to entertain you. Fancy Dress Friday brings the week to a hilarious finish.  What’s not to like? £2 a session per household, visit the website for further details about joining in.


Kerry On Dancing

Get moving with Kerry’s fantastic online Ballroom and Latin American inspired dance workouts, stay healthy, stay happy, stay dancing! To register email kerry@kerryondancing.co.uk and she will provide details and invites to Zoom sessions.


Citizens of the World Choir

The COTW Choir is a choir for people who are refugees, asylum seekers, migrants and friends. Whilst their ‘in-person’ rehearsals are on hold, they will rehearse online, perform online & keep the refugee community vitally connected at this time. Rosana Fiore Yoga

In Rosana’s Iyengar Yoga class, students are guided through a carefully paced programme of postures. Follow her yoga tutorials on her Youtube channel or email her on info@rosanafioreyoga.com for details about her Zoom schedule to take part live.


BarreConcept - Tone, Sculpt, Burn

Barre combines the precision of Pilates, technique of ballet, alignment of yoga and the strength from sports conditioning. Katie is hosting Zoom meetings on Monday 10am, Tuesday 7.30pm, Wednesday 10am, Thursday at 10am. Visit Facebook for full details about signing up and tuning in.



MumsAid continue to provide support for new mums and mums-to-be with online counselling sessions either through Zoom or on the phone, contact info@mums-aid.org for enquiries. They are also offering two free groups to enhance creativity, mindfulness and self-compassion: an Online Journalling Group and the Mama Tune Online Chorus. Come Dance with Me - Dance for over 50s

Dance and movement tutor Joanna Clare continues her dance class for over 50s on Fridays at 11am now remotely via Zoom, plus her new Gentle Keep Fit sessions for over 50s launch on Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am from 7 April. Yoga by Pri

Priscila is running online Iyengar yoga sessions via Zoom for anyone who has practiced yoga before and wants to maintain their physical and spiritual well being whilst at home. New sessions for beginners will be launching soon, watch this space! For more info and to book visit her website.


WW Weight Watchers Re-imagined

All sessions have now moved online with virtual workshops to help you eat well, move more, and stay connected. Register via the website to sign up to your local workshop.


Techy Time

Mycenae House Reach Out Projects launched Mycenae Digital's 'Techy Time' to help members of the community learn about all things digital in a social group setting. The free sessions help reduce digital isolation and are led by Paul Clayton from Soulchip Communications. The group are now meeting online with Zoom sessions on Wednesday afternoons, contact Deborah to find out more.


Ukulele classes

Follies Face & Body Art

Creative face painting & body painting specialists Follies are offering all their courses online so you can develop your skills safely from home. They are also running Follies Freebies to continue to colour the world and keep the vibe high, sign up on their website to access the content


Becky Dell Music Academy

Whilst the academy's office at Mycenae House may be closed, there's no stopping the team of amazing tutors and all music lessons are now running virtually through Zoom. Visit the website for more information.


Blackheath Centre for Singing

Why not give one of BCS's choirs a try and lift your mood with a good sing, as their new term kicks off on 20 April with all sessions temporarily running online. There is something for all levels with: Finding Your Voice Choir (Beginners) on Mon 8-9pm; Singing For Pleasure Choir (Intermediate) on Mon 8-9pm; Sing Pop, Soul and Jazz (All Abilities, 16+) on Tues 8-9pm; and Chamber Choir (Advanced singers) on Wed 8-9pm. Peaceful Practice

Bernadette started teaching at Mycenae House 22 years ago and continues her yoga sessions at present online using Zoom. She is offering: Well Woman Yoga - Tuesdays at 10:00; Yoga Nidra - Tuesdays at 20:30; Well Woman Yoga - Wednesdays at 19:30; and Pregnancy Yoga - Saturdays at 10:30, all at £5 per session. Greenwich Early Years Music

These small online class sizes allow fully interactive music-making for toddlers, babies and young children. Sign up to the online sessions run by registered charity Greenwich Music School via their website.


Tiptoes & Tappers

Tiptoes & Tappers have put together an impressive timetable of ballet, tap and contemporary dance classes for children online, some of the pre-recorded sessions were even filmed at Mycenae House before the building closed last week! Fill out the enquiry form on their website for more information.


Bach to Baby

The music goes on with Bach to Baby, join them live "in their Bach Yard" on Fridays at 11am as they bring you concerts straight to your living room. Book your spot to enjoy to enjoy great classical music, and your favourite nursery rhymes requests for just £3.00 for the whole family!


diddi dance SE London

The well-loved funky preschool dance classes continue online so you can join in at home direct from your living room. Full of entertainment and exercise for your diddi dancer, contact your local class leader for all the information and to book your place.


Toddler Sense Greenwich

Wave Hello To the Sun and keep the little ones entertained from home with huge variety of activities and songs from the Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense Greenwich teams. Theatretrain Greenwich

Theatretrain continues its theatre training in DANCE ACT SING online every Saturday on Facebook Live at 10am for their national overview, register via their website for access to all content. Ukulele classes

The Royal Borough of Greenwich has launched a Community Hub to link thousands of volunteers with opportunities to help people who are most in need of support.  

If you need help because you are vulnerable and self-isolating, and have not got a family member, friend or neighbour who can help, the volunteers could provide support with:

- collecting / delivering prescriptions

- delivering essential food packages

- connecting you to local community services.
